We are very fortunate that Dr. Roey Tzezana (or, as Israeli's refer to each other, just Roey) moved to Providence, Rhode Island and became part of the Israeli community. Roey Tzezana, has a PhD in Nanotechnology and is a Futures researcher in Yuval Ne'erman Workshop for Science, Technology & Security at Tel Aviv University, a public intellectual with worldwide acclaim. His book “Guide to the Future” has recently been published in a crowd funding project that has garnered large success. The book has become a bestseller, been published in four editions and is currently being translated into other languages.
He is the academic manager of the program for Future Studies at Lahav Executive Education at Tel Aviv University. His research deals mainly with analysis of emerging and disruptive technologies and forecasting their impact on the society and the individual. His studies have been conducted in collaboration and for private companies, government ministries, the Israeli police force and the European Union.
Tzezana has founded and is the Director of TeleBuddy; a start-up company helping people connect everywhere in the world by using robotic avatar bodies. Tzezana is constantly logging into telepresence robots around the world, allowing him to teach and lecture in several continents in the same day.
Tzezana is a member of several bodies dedicated to studying the future, including World Future Society, the Millennium Project, and has been elected and recognized as Expert of the Month in TechCast. In addition he is a senior analyst at Wikistrat - a firm utilizing the wisdom of the crowd to provide strategic forecasts.
