Governor Gina Raimondo lights Hanukah Candles at the State House

On Tuesday, December 27, Governor Gina Raimondo hosted the beautiful annual lighting of the Hanukah candles at the State House, which was organized by Rabbi Laufer from Chabad Providence. Yehuda Yaakov, the Israel Consul General to New England was also present with more than 100 members of the community who lit the menorah and sang Hanukah songs together.

The event was also attended by State Representative and Deputy Majority Leader, Mia Ackerman, who organized the anti-BDS this year. The bill was signed by Governor Gina Raimondo, who was the first governor in New England to sign it.

Hoping to see you all next 2017 Candle-lighting event.
