As summer is over, I started to work again on the two models I am working on.
First the Emma C. Berry: I finished the deck's first layer and I am working on the wheelhouse and starting to work on the mast.
Then put some time in continuing building the Maggie M. fishing boat.
Completed the rudder assembly and worked on the electronics and propulsion system, installed a DC motor with gears peed MFA Torpedo 500 series 0 919D 4.5 V - 15. Volt gear 300V 5:1, speed control from Hobbwing and controller FUTX3A4YF-2.46 hz. Fatuba.
In the photo, I used a temporary battery but will use a Duracell Ultra A 6V battery as it will last much longer and serve as ballast as it weighs almost 5 lbs.
Now, I need also to buy proper propeller (any suggestions from my fellow model boat builders)?
So, until the next time, Happy Holiday Season to all my fellow boat builders and especially to my friend at the Edinburgh Model Boat Club who I visited this summer.
