STUDENT INFORMATION

 

Dear Student,

We are happy that you are interested in participating in this exciting project! Please see the below information regarding the application and project overview process.

School Application

STEP 1: APPLICATION

Complete student application form above.

Interviewee

STEP 2: INITIAL INTERVIEW

Interview with one of the project organizers.

Online Course

STEP 3: TRAINING

Participate in free, instructional website development trainings provided by a WIX employee.

Business Owner

STEP 4: MATCHING WITH SMALL BUSINESS

The project organizers will match each student with a small, Hispanic owned business.

Working with Laptop

STEP 5: CREATING WEBSITE

Students will create a website for their matched small business. 

Presentation

STEP 6: PRESENTING TO JUDGES

Students will present their website to panel of judges and prepare for a Question + Answer period following the presentation. 

Graduation

STEP 7: CEREMONY/AWARDS

Top 3 websites will be awarded with cash prizes in during the awards ceremony in April 2021.

 

All participants will receive small gifts.
